When dismantling any phone, great care should be taken to ensure that no damage is caused to any of the parts. Rough handling may result in severe damage of many parts, and if proper anti-static procedures are not followed, electrostatic damage may result in any electronic component.
Before commencing, it is recommended that the correct tools are purchased for the job in hand - at the very least, you will require a Torx T6 screwdriver.
Step 1. Lower Block Disassembly. Remove the battery cover.
Step 2. Remove the battery.
Step 3. Remove the six Torx T6 screws and keep them in a safe place..
Step 4. Remove the back cover and place it upside down.
Step 5. Use tweezers or similar to remove the vibra motor.
Step 6. Use tweezers or an unplugged charger to remove the charging jack.
Step 7. To remove the frame, move the right side slightly to the right and push it slightly upwards.
Step 8. Now repeat the above with the left side (obviously reversing left & right).
Step 9. Now you can simply remove the frame.
Step 10. The side keys can simply be pushed out of the frame.
Step 11. Use the back cover you removed earlier as a support to ensure you don't damage the film flex.
Step 12. To remove the circuit board, start by lifting it slightly at the base of the phone adjacent to the SIM carrier and MMC holder.
Step 13. Now ease the board up near the camera.
Step 14. You should now be able to flip the circuit board over (carefully!) to rest in the back cover.
Step 15. The camera connector is simply pushed in place, but take care not to damage or bend it whilst disconnecting and removing the camera.
Step 16. Release the hinge flex connector in the same way as the camera connector and remove the circuit board and back cover.
Step 17. Remove the microphone with tweezers taking care not to damage the contacts.
Step 18. Remove the user interface flex assembly.
Step 19. Finally remove the key mat by pushing it from the inside.
Step 20. Upper Block Disassembly. Remove the battery and twist the screen so that it lays flat against the body of the phone.
Step 21. Using a thin plastic shim lever out the key mat.
Step 22. Remove the two Torx T6 screws and store them safely.
Step 23. Again using your shim begin to unclip one side of the cover.
Step 24. Then unclip the other side and remove the cover.
Step 25. Use tweezers to remove the LCD screen shield unclipping one side first......
Step 26. and then the other side.
Step 27. Now use your shim again to remove the shield.
Step 28. Protect the screen with a film or similar if possible.
Step 29. use tweezers to remove the earpiece.
Step 30. Disconnect the screen connector using a small flat bladed screwdriver taking care not to damage or bend it.
Step 31. Lever up the right top corner of the screen with your shim (carefully, you don't want to snap it).
Step 32. Now you can remove the screen from the phone.
Step 33. Reassembly is a simple reversal of the above steps taking extra time to ensure that everything works as it should, and that you have caused no damage whilst inside the handset.
