Get Mac OS X Snow Leopard Taskbar Dock in Windows PC

The Taskbar Dock which comes up in the Apple Mac OS X Operating Systems is seriously very much beautiful and also intelligent because it does not just offer you with a nice taskbar but also offers you with features which can be useful in the daily life. The Dock is not available in the Windows based computers because the windows pc users get a flat taskbar with a start button and application shortcuts in the left and a clock and few icons on the right side. Its now possible to have a Dock in Windows Computers using the RK Launcher Application which can be downloaded from here.

Once you download the file, it comes in the form of a zip format which is a compressed state and you need to extra all the files within the downloaded zip using a freeware like Winzip or Winrar. Next a bunch of files and folders would appear in the Extracted section which would help the software to run. Click on the RKLauncher.exe file which will start the application.

The Dock looks awesome but again is displayed over your normal Taskbar Icons which can create a problem because you cannot click on the icons already listed in the Windows Taskbar and they can be accessed only when you press ‘Alt+Tab’ keys. Next we need to configure the Dock and move it to the left or right side of the screen where it can get its own screen area. The third last option from the right is the ‘Control Panel’ shortcut of your computer.

Features :

  • When you mouse over the Taskbar Dock the Icons automatically zoom in and you will find that the size increases, giving you a better viewing of the shortcuts and easy way to access and run them. While if you move the mouse away from this, they will be resized to the normal size as shown above.
  • Once you minimize any application it will be automatically displayed in the Taskbar Dock, under the shortcuts bar with a small thumbnail image of the contents of the running program.
  • If you install a new software, whenever you run it for the first time, a shortcut for the same is generated and displayed in the Taskbar Dock, making it very simple and easy for you to access the same.

Overall a recommended nice software for PC lovers who love the MAC OS Looks. If you are looking for a complete overhaul of your PC and Make Windows XP Look like Apple Mac OS X, check out the transformation pack or else read our tutorial on Installing Mac OS X Snow Leopard on a Windows PC.
