When dismantling any phone, great care should be taken to ensure that no damage is caused to any of the parts. Rough handling may result in severe damage of many parts, and if proper anti-static procedures are not followed, electrostatic damage may result in any electronic component.
Before commencing, it is recommended that the correct tools are purchased for the job in hand - at the very least, you will require a Torx T6 screwdriver.
Step 1. Remove the back cover and battery.
Step 2. Remove the front cover.
Step 3. Protect the inside of the screen.
Step 4. Remove the key mat.
Step 5. Remove the seven Torx T6 screws and store them safely.
Step 6. take care to lift both the user interface assembly and main circuit board at the same time to avoid straining either of them.
Step 7. Before removing the user interface module disconnect the screen connector as shown below taking care not to damage any surrounding components.
Step 8. Now you can separate the user interface module from the main circuit board.
Step 9. To remove the LCD screen shield release the clips either side of the screen and lift away the shield.
Step 10. You can now remove the LCD screen from its frame.
Step 11. Remove the ear piece using your Torx driver noting the position of the locating pin for reassembly.
Step 12. Remove the camera gasket.
Step 13. Camera removal. If you haven't got access to the correct tools I'd recommend leaving the camera alone.
Step 14. Remove the voice key.
Step 15. Remove the power key.
Step 16(17). Lift out the vibra motor.
Step 17. Remove the power jack using tweezers or an unplugged charger.
Step 18. Remove the microphone using tweezers.
Step 19(20). Remove the BlueTooth aerial using tweezers.
Step 20. Remove the MMC card cover (you may have to waggle it a bit).
Step 21. To remove the card plate and ground gasket use your plastic shim at the two points marked below.
Step 22. Now you should be able to remove the card plate & ground gasket.
Step 23. Remove the internal handsfree speaker using tweezers or a toothpick.
Step 24. There are eight clips holding the aerial assembly in place. Unlock them with a small flat bladed screwdriver...
Step 25.and lift the aerial assembly away.
Step 25. Reassembly is a simple reversal of the above steps taking extra time to ensure that everything works as it should, and that you have caused no damage whilst inside the handset.
